Lamalite (Glazing Powder)

*****There is lamalit for surface glossing and syruping design paper in our stocks. Please get in contact for the best and most appropriate prices in the market.

Lamalit raw material is a substance that is already solid or solidifies by heating. It is obtained from the polymerization of melamine and formaldehyde products. It is dissolved in n- butanol and xylene in butylated form. Later, it is used in surface coatings by cross-linking with materials such as alkyd, epoxy, acrylic, butanol xylene and polyester resins. There are various types of it according to the recovery time speed. It was discovered by William F. Talbot.

Features

The features of lamalit raw material are high tensile strength, flexural modulus, heat-deflection temperature, low water retentivity, mould shrinkage, high surface hardness and volume resistivity. In addition, it has a high fluidity.

Usage Areas

Lamalit raw material is used in melamine plate and trays as a glazing agent and for syruping melamine design papers. At the same time, it can be used as additive in order that hardened urea and melamine raw materials can function better in hydraulic presses.
